Upgrades between 13 and 16 are classed as "unlikely" and attempts fail more often than not.Reaching level 12 also reveals the third substat if it's not already revealed or can improve any of the revealed substats on higher quality artifacts.Upgrades between 9 and 12 are even less certain and attempts fail quite frequently.Reaching level 8 also reveals the second substat on common & uncommon artifacts or can improve any of the revealed substats.Those that are successful continue to improve the primary stat.Upgrades between 5 and 8 are less than certain and may fail.Reaching level 4 also reveals & improves the first substat on common artifacts and will improve any one of the revealed substats on higher quality artifacts.Upgrades to level 4 are certain to suceed provided that one has the silver.with each level improving the Primary Stat.The chance of a sucessful upgrade decreases.Artifacts can be upgraded from level 1 to 16.
